The Belmodar is an enemy in the game Final Fantasy VI. Its special move, Rush, deals heavy damage at the point in the game when Belmodars are fought. It has a 1/3 chance of countering any magic spell with Megavolt, which is also deadly. Sometimes, Locke can steal a Mythril Claw for Sabin. It is suggested that this is done, as Mythril Claws are unobtainable for a long time after.
