Genus: Esper
Classification: The Gigas

[edit] Page 1: Observations

Scion of darkness and guardian of the Holy Realm, made by the gods in opposition to Loghrif the Transcendent, scion of light. Called the Gigas for his appearance: man and monster fused as one. Considered a mistake upon his making, and receiving not his intended role, the Gigas challenged the gods and lost. Scorned by his masters, he found another: the Dynast-King, whose tomb he swore to protect for eternity.

[edit] Battle

You will find him guarding the Dawn Shard at the heart of the Tomb of Raithwall. In comparison to previous enemies and bosses, Belias is a very heavy hitter. On the other hand, he is also comparatively slow. A couple of useful things to remember for this battle: His unique attack, Firaja, deals heavy fire damage to everyone in your party, and also has the potential for inflicting Oil status. Bring plenty of Handkerchiefs. Although he has a very high Magick Resist, his elemental weakness to Water leaves him open to Water black magick. Use this frequently. The Rain of Tears unlockable item in the Bazaar is very useful for this battle, so try to unlock it before fighting Belias.

Another method is to simply have all characters equip magick-enhancing equipment beforehand and set them all to cast Water, or use Water Motes. Not only will this dish out a fair bit of damage, but magick-enhancing equipment will also help in lessening the amount of magick damage he can do to you. Shell is also useful, as is a healthy supply of Handkerchiefs.
