The Behemoth King, also known as Sr Behemoth, is a boss from the game Final Fantasy VI in the Cave in the Veldt. It guards either Shadow or Relm's wounded body. It is relatively easy to defeat. It has two forms: a living form and an undead form, and both are fought consecutively with no break in between. The Behemoth King drops a valuable Behemoth Suit when it is defeated. However, players may also notice that a Thunder Blade (or possibly a Jewel Ring) has been added to the item inventory after battle. This is due to a bug in the game. Final Fantasy VI Advance corrected this bug, changing the drop to a Behemoth Suit for both version of the boss (thus it's possible to get 2 Behemoth Suits from the one battle).

The Behemoth King is one of the few bosses in the game to appear on the Veldt and have a Rage. In Final Fantasy VI Advance, both versions of the boss appear on the Veldt in one encounter, just like the original boss battle. Because the party changes formation for the undead Behemoth King, Gau cannot return after the encounter.
