Behemoths are ferocious beasts that are considered a rare sight in modern day Vana'diel, though a number of them were once used in the Orcish attack on Tavnazia during the Great Crystal War. Behemoths typically require a large party to defeat and are capable of attacking from multiple directions. They are known to have an affinity with the thunder element and are most feared for their use of the devastating magic spell Meteor.
All Behemoths are either Notorious Monsters or encountered only in battlefields.

- Behemoths are featured in the opening cinematic FMV for Final Fantasy XI.
