The Beelzebub Soul is a Soul of Rebirth boss in Final Fantasy II. It is located in the equivalent location in the mirror image Pandaemonium to its counterpart.

Battle Edit

Beelzebub reappears with 3,000 more HP, but with a new-found weakness to the Fire element. He uses Blaze 16 attack, and can inflict Confusion and Stun status effects.

Strategy Edit

Minwu should cast Shell on everyone and be ready to heal any damage and status ailments. Using physical attacks and Fire spells defeats this enemy. An alternate method of winning is to simply cast a level 8 or higher Teleport.

Etymology Edit

Beelzebub means "Lord of the Flies" in Hebrew and is a name often associated with the devil. It appears in the book by William Golding of the same name (Lord Of the Flies) as the head of a slaughtered pig on a stake. Beelzebub is also one of the Seven Princes of Hell, associated with the deadly sin of Gluttony.

The soul, in many religious, philosophical, psychological, and mythological traditions, is the incorporeal and, in many conceptions, immortal essence of a person, living thing, or object.
