Battlegen is a feature in Dissidia Final Fantasy. It is a system that allows accessories to be generated through either Brave Break, HP Attack, EX Burst, or Map destruction as a consequence of an attack, all while winning the battle. Each character has four accessories that can be obtained only through Battlegen, with the exception of Gabranth, Shantotto, and Chaos, who have three, while each stage has one accessory, with the exception of Ultimecia's Castle which has two. Furthermore, online and Friend Card ghost battles allow the player to Battlegen gems and equipped accessories after the option is purchased in the PP Catalog. In the case of Battlegen-only accessories from characters and stages, obtaining an accessory will unlock additional accessories.
Battlegen usually has a small to very small success rates as the chance is almost always under 30%. Ways to raise this chance are facing higher-level opponents (especially higher than the recommended level), raising your luck, using accessories to multiply chances, and equipping the Allure of Honey equipment. Battlegen-only accessories are often used in the Shop for trade items.
