"Battle to the Death" (死闘, Shitō?), also known as "The Fierce Battle", is a battle theme from Final Fantasy VI. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu in 1994.

Final Fantasy VIEdit

In its original appearance, "Battle to the Death" first plays during the battle with Ultima Weapon at the Floating Continent, and from then on, it is used as a battle theme for more powerful bosses, such as the Warring Triad, and the Advance superboss additions, Kaiser Dragon and Omega Weapon.

"Battle to the Death" is the third track of the third disc of the Final Fantasy VI: Original Sound Version and of the Kefka's Domain - The complete soundtrack from the Final Fantasy III video game album. Its arrangement by TOSE for Final Fantasy VI Advance was released as the third track of the Final Fantasy Finest Box collection's sixth disc.

Dissidia Final FantasyEdit

An arrangement of this theme by Takeharu Ishimoto named "Battle to the Death -arrange- from FINAL FANTASY VI" appears as a battle theme. It is the twenty-seventh track of the Dissidia Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack's first disc.

"Battle to the Death" can be automatically selected for battles including Terra Branford or Kefka Palazzo, or taking place at Kefka's Tower.

Dissidia 012 Final FantasyEdit

As with all tracks present in the original game, "Battle to the Death -arrange- from FINAL FANTASY VI" returns in the prequel to Dissidia Final Fantasy. It is given the same appearances as in the aforementioned game, but can also be automatically selected for battles taking place at the Phantom Train as well.

Theatrhythm Final FantasyEdit

"Battle to the Death" is a bonus Battle Music Sequence available as a Chaos Score in Theatrhythm.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's DungeonEdit

An arrangement of "Battle to the Death" by Yuzo Takahashi is present in this game as "Memories of the World". It is the thirteenth track of the original soundtrack album.
