Barwater (, also known as バウォタ, Bawota ) ? NulTide, is a recurring enhancing spell that grants the status effect of the same name, defending the afflicted unit against Water damage.
NulTide is a White Magic spell available in Yuna's section of the Sphere Grid. Armor can be customized with SOS NulTide, which casts NulTide when the wearer is in critical status. Whenever NulTide is cast, a glowing blue ball will orbit around the person it is cast on.
Barwater is a White Magic spell that can be learned by Red Mages at level 9. It may be recast every 10 seconds for 6 MP. Those playing as White Mages have access to an upgraded version, Barwatera.

Barwater is a
Synergist ability, accessible earliest by Hope, and at higher levels by Vanille and Sazh.
Creates a barrier around all allies to reduce the next water attack by one-half.
Barwater is the level 14 ability of the
Seer class, requiring 340 AP to learn. At the cost of 24 MP, the user will reduce the damage of the next Water-elemental attack on the party by half.
