The Barong is an enemy from Final Fantasy X-2. It is weak against Fire so hit it with Fire-based attacks and magic. If that is not enough to take it down, make sure to stock up on Hi-Potions, as its Blade Rondo inflicts an impressive amount of damage for the time it shows up. In Oversoul, it is best to take it out quickly to avoid its Confusion and Bio spells, both of which are dangerous to deal with. Frenzied Edge is also quite powerful, but simply using Light Curtain or Protect will help deal with it.

In the Fiend Tale endings, a notable Barong was a member of Sharp Order sent to reclaim the stolen Bushido tomes of his group. His journey had him faced "Hellfire" Flan Rojo, "Guillotine" Gemini, and "Kamikaze" Cactuar to get the first three tomes from them. His search for the final tome bring him face to face with his chieftain, who was testing his worth to inherit the Bushido way as the new chieftain.
