The spell can be bought at Elfheim and can be learned by the White Mage, White Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Knight classes. In the GBA/PSP/iOS releases it costs 8 MP to cast. Vampire Lord is the only enemy capable of casting this spell.
Final Fantasy X
NulBlaze negates one Fire-elemental attack or spell and is a White Magic spell found in Yuna's section of the Sphere Grid. Armor can be customized with SOS NulBlaze, which casts NulBlaze when reaching HP Critical HP. When it is cast, a red fiery glowing orb circles the character the spell was cast upon.
Final Fantasy XI
Barfire is a White Magic spell learned by Red Mages at level 17. When cast, the spell decreases the duration for the player being inflicted with Fire-based status effects, as well as increasing the chance of resisting Fire-elemental attacks and spells. It may be recast every 10 seconds for 6 MP, and, like all Enhancing Magic, its effectiveness ranges depending on the player's Enhancing Magic skill. Players utilizing the White Mage class also have access to an improved version, Barfira.
Final Fantasy XIII
Raise target's fire resistance.

It is learned by Sazh (stage 7), Vanille (stage 7), and Hope (stage 3). It casts the status effect of the same name.
