White Mage - AFIR

NulBlaze, also known as AFIR in the NES release and NulFire in the Final Fantasy Origins release, is a level 3 White Magic spell which reduces Fire-elemental damage inflicted on all allies by half.

The spell can be bought at Elfheim and can be learned by the White Mage, White Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Knight classes. In the GBA/PSP/iOS releases it costs 8 MP to cast. Vampire Lord is the only enemy capable of casting this spell.

Final Fantasy XEdit

NulBlaze negates one Fire-elemental attack or spell and is a White Magic spell found in Yuna's section of the Sphere Grid. Armor can be customized with SOS NulBlaze, which casts NulBlaze when reaching critical HP. When it is cast, a red fiery glowing orb circles the character the spell was cast upon.

Final Fantasy XIEdit

Barfire is a White Magic spell learned by Red Mages at level 17. When cast, the spell decreases the duration for the player being inflicted with Fire-based status effects, as well as increasing the chance of resisting Fire-elemental attacks and spells. It may be recast every 10 seconds for 6 MP, and, like all Enhancing Magic, its effectiveness ranges depending on the player's Enhancing Magic skill. Players utilizing the White Mage class also have access to an improved version, Barfira.

Final Fantasy XIIIEdit

Barfire Symbol

Barfire is a Synergist ability. Hope learns it the earliest, at Crystarium level 3, while Sazh and Vanille learn the spell at level 7. It casts the status effect of the same name. The Flamebane Brooch casts the spell automatically when the character enters critical health and the Flameshield Earring casts it at the start of every battle.
