Balasa (イブリス Iburisu) is an Esper in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. The rank 2 Fire Melee summon, he costs 14 affinity points to summon. His normal attack, Fire Fist, inflicts slow and deals fire damage to one foe.

[edit] Etymology
In the Japanese version, Balasa is known as Iblis, which is the name of the primary devil in Islam, equal to Satan in Christianity. However, Iblis' origin is a Jinn, not a fallen angel, according to the Quran. Nevertheless, Iblis comes from the Arabic root word balasa, meaning "something in despair and frustration".
