Baderon Tenfingers is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XIV, he is a midlander hyur who works for the Adventurer's Guild in Limsa Lominsa.

History[]

Early life[]

Baderon was the only son of Lodewicus, however his father, founder of the Adventurers' Guild cast a long shadow over Baderon and he grew rebellious, leaving home when he was young. He became a skilled mercenary and threw himself into battle time and again. Eventually something changed and he decided to open a tavern and establish a spot for the Adventurers' Guild.[1]

When the adventurer arrives in Limsa Lominsa, Baderon acts as a guide suggesting that the adventurer visits several guilds and often communicates with him via a linkshell. Baderon also provides information about the recent rumors and helps to cover up the adventurer while he is under observation by the city-state. After the adventurer passes out due to a vision of the echo, a fisher called Blackburn carries the adventurer to Baderon's inn and asks him to pass on a message telling the adventurer to visit the Path of the Twelve in Ul'dah.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn[]

Baderon continues to run the Drowning Wench, assisting new adventurers of the Marauder and Arcanist disciplines and guiding them through Limsa Lominsa.

Baderon wears a white bandana with a blue design on it, and a light blue shirt with long sleeves and a necklace.

Personality[]

Baderon was known to be rebellious when he was younger, and that changed when he got older as he is now seen as a teacher for the younger generation. He was known to be a skilled mercenary when he was younger which is where his nickname "Tenfingers" came from.

Baderon is also Eorzea's foremost expert on ciphers, as noted in the quest Magic Marks the Spot.

Gameplay[]

Triple Triad[]

Baderon is a npc available for Triple Triad matches added in patch 2.51. He is located at Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (11.6, 11.1). To challenge him the player needs to complete the A Wild Rose by Any Other Name A Wild Rose by Any Other Name quest.

The matches have the Match Rule Three Open. The possible rewards for defeating him are Baderon Tenfingers Card Baderon Tenfingers Card and Sahagin Card Sahagin Card.
