The Azer, also known as the FlameDevil, is an enemy from Final Fantasy III. It often appears alone, though in the NES version it can also appear in pairs or threes. Physical attacks and Blizzaga are the way to go with dealing with these enemies, as are Ice Helms and Ice Shields to reduce the damage done by its relatively powerful Flame attack.

Etymology Edit

The azer is a dwarf-like outsider in the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. In the third edition of the game, azers originate on the Elemental Plane of Fire.

It is also called "FlameDevil." The Devil is believed in many religions, myths and cultures to be a supernatural entity that is the personification of evil and the enemy of God and humankind.
