Auto-Float (いつでもレビテト, Itsudemo Rebiteto?), also known as Levitate, is a recurring ability that permanently puts the user in Float status, effectively nullifying all Earth-elemental damage and floor traps for that character.

The Feather Boots can be equipped by anyone, but the Venetia Shield can only be equipped by Steiner and Freya. It costs 6 Magic Stones to equip and can be learned by Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, Steiner, Freya and Quina for 20 AP, Eiko for 25 AP and Amarant for 35 AP.

Description
Levitate, also known as Float, is a movement ability in Final Fantasy Tactics. The Time Mage class learns it for 540 JP. A unit with this ability will have a permanent Float effect on him/her during combat and thus be able to walk over water and lava with no need to worry about movement penalties. The Winged Boots and Cherche accessories give the wearers Auto Float.
