Aura Ball (波動球, Hadōkyū?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an attack used exclusively by Cloud of Darkness, originating from the Dissidia series.

Dissidia Final Fantasy[]

Aura Ball is an aerial HP attack for Cloud of Darkness, learned at the start of the game. It requires 40 CP to equip (20 when mastered), 180 AP to master, and has Ranged High priority. By holding Square, Cloud of Darkness sends up to five orbs of dark energy that slowly spread out to track the opponent, and by releasing the button, will cause the orbs to detonate.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Aura Ball is a HP attack for Cloud of Darkness, requiring 30 CP to equip (15 when mastered) and 130 AP to master. It is otherwise identical to its previous incarnation.

Aura Ball is a special ability learned solely by Cloud of Darkness (6★) at level 38. It costs 30 MP and allows Cloud of Darkness to reduce all enemies' ATK (30%) for three turns and may inflict them with silence (40%).
