Ascension in Dissidia Final Fantasy (2015).

Ascension (ライズアップ, Raizu Appu?, lit. Rise Up) is a recurring ability in the series. It is an ability used exclusively by Warrior of Light.

AppearancesEdit

Dissidia Final FantasyEdit

Dissidia Ascension is a ground physical Bravery attack for Warrior of Light, learned at level 30. It requires 30 CP to equip (15 when mastered), 90 AP to master, has Melee Low priority, and induces both Chase and Wall Rush. Warrior of Light throws his shield to drag the opponent closer, then performs a sword combo to knock them into the air. The attack generates 40 EX Force.

Dissidia 012 Final FantasyEdit

Dissidia012 Ascension returns as a Bravery attack for Warrior of Light, learned at level 19, requiring 120 AP to master, and generating 90 EX Force. It is otherwise identical to its previous incarnation.

EtymologyEdit

Ascension is a belief held to be true by multiple religions. Since death is the normal end to an individual's life on Earth and the beginning of the afterlife, entering Heaven without dying first is considered exceptional and usually a sign of God's special recognition of the individual's piety.
