Please expand this article into a full one. This can be done by info on FFTA2 command skillset, and add tables for skillsets for both games to here. This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page.

Arts of War (戦技, Sengi?), also known as Battle Skill and Battle Tech, is a recurring skillset in the series. In the Ivalice Alliance games, it can be a great support ability for ranged units to have as they can "rend" equipment and stats from a distance.

AppearancesEdit

Final Fantasy TacticsEdit

In the PlayStation version, the first four abilities are useless against enemies that cannot equip armor or weapons (i.e. "monsters"). This was changed in the PSP version. The Dual Wield ability (acquired using the Ninja Job) allows the player to take two chances at "rending" equipment and statistics. For example, players can rend an enemy's speed twice in one turn.

The formula for the success of breaking an item is as follows:

Physical Attack + PWR + Weapon strength

The formula for the success of reducing stats are as follows:

The text is composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare. It is commonly known to be the definitive work on military strategy and tactics of its time.
