Etymology[]

Arondight is the sword wielded by Lancelot in Arthurian legend. Although the origin of the name of his sword remains contested, its classification as a dark/fell sword is due to Lancelot's fall from grace. He caused the downfall of the Knights of the Round Table due to his affairs with Queen Guinevere, the wife of King Arthur, and was cursed to never see her again.
