Strategy
Armstrong's Attack power rises whenever it is hit with magic, and there is no limit to how high it can go. Because Golbez's and Fusoya's HP cannot exceed any more than 2,900+ in their tale, it is inadvisable to cast magic on Armstrong. If Fusoya casts Haste and Berserk on Golbez, he should be able to defeat Armstrong while Fusoya heals both of them with Curaga. The battle is even easier if Golbez has either the Enhance Sword or Defender. Despite focusing on its strength, Armstrong sometimes uses magic, but it is not too much of a threat. Sometimes it will self-destruct on both Golbez and Fusoya as it nears death, if they do not kill it first.

- The amount of gil and experience given by this boss is an allusion to the year of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission. Its name is an allusion to Neil Armstrong, who was the Apollo 11 mission commander and the first person to step on the moon.
