Armored Axeman is an enemy in Final Fantasy XV fought during the main quest Express Train for Trouble. It is a magitek trooper that wields an axe in one hand and uses its other hand as a gun.

Armored Axeman appears among the imperial troops that attack the train in Chapter 11, and the goal is to defeat all the enemies quickly. The axemen approach while swinging their axe wildly, but are not difficult to defeat. They also stand around and shoot at the train with the built-in firearm in their other hand. Although only Noctis and Prompto are on the field, the player need not worry about the latter as he won't easily go into Danger state during this segment.
Strategy[]
The player can warp-strike the axemen to quickly defeat them. The Cerberus sniper rifle for Noctis (if available) also defeats them in one hit with a headshot (easily done in Wait Mode).
