Ark

From Final Fantasy Wiki

Ark

Ark (アーク Āku) is an airship-like eidolon in Final Fantasy IX. It attacks Zidane and his party in Oeilvert, as they obtain the Gulug Stone for Kuja. Later in the game, the party may locate two Pumice Pieces, which can then be forged into Pumice by Hades at his Synthesis Shop in Memoria. Pumice can also be received by beating Ozma, the most powerful enemy in the game.

Because of it originating from Terra's moon, it is considered by fans as a relic of Terran technology. It also may be the opposite counterpart of Alexander, as it is also based on a normally inanimate structure, has the opposite element of Alexander, their main attacks look very similar (rays of light shooting everywhere), and in the Japanese edition of IX, Ark's attack was known as Dark Decree (compare to Holy Judgment).
