The Anubys (called Anubys of the Abyss when faced in the Slaughterhouse) is an enemy that appears in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It lacks a Last One and can frequently be encountered in the external portions of Nova Chrysalia from 16:00 to 18:00.

Lightning can obtain Heavy Slash by defeating the Anubys, as well as the Death Herald, a weapon that can be sold for 1,250 gil. She can take advantage of the Death Game quest to farm these items.

Battle Edit

This enemy uses powerful physical attacks to damage opponents.

Strategy Edit

When facing the Anubys, Lightning should immediately inflict it with Deprotect. She can then safely exterminate it with a series of physical attacks.

Lightning can instantly stagger the Anubys by performing a carefully-timed Guard as it attacks her.
