Angeal Penance is a boss in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. It is a form of Angeal Hewley. It also bears a prominent resemblance to Omega Weapon of Final Fantasy VIII.

[edit] Battle

Due to in-game events, Zack's emotion will be high and thus affecting the DMW, providing a greater chance of Modulating Phase occurring. Avoid Angeal Penance's charging attack and try to land critical hits by attacking from behind or its rear side. But be careful, as Angeal Penance may deliver an attack from its behind.

Firaga will most likely cause high damage. Be sure to equip Zack with a Bolt Armlet or any other Thunder-resistant accessories to minimize the damage caused by Angeal Penance's ultimate attacks, such as End of Gluttony or Thunder of Envy. Sometimes Angeal will cast Barrier or MBarrier to protect himself, but this shouldn't be too much problem if Zack has Dispel Materia equipped. Alternatively, a combination of critical hits and Firaga should be enough to finish him off. On a interesting note, if Zack uses "Rush Assault", the attack that Zack uses when he gets three Angeal's reels, it can make more damage than usual to Angeal Penance, this might be a reference to the relationship of master and pupil between Zack and Angeal.
