Aevis

From Final Fantasy Wiki

"Bird monster with sharp beak and huge wings. Flying ability is quite high, but it usually walks."
—Description

The Aevis species of monster in Final Fantasy Tactics includes three birdlike monsters. They have incredible mobility and can fly over other units. Although being avian creatures, they are weak to Earth-based attacks and also have a weakness to Wind.

[edit] Races

  • Rank I: Jura Aevis (Juravis)

The Jura Aevis is the weakest variant of the Aevis, but its physical attacks are still quite strong.

  • Rank II: Steelhawk

The Steelhawk lives up to its name by lashing out with powerful melee "Scratch Up" attacks.

  • Rank III: Cockatrice (Cocatoris)

The Cockatrice is a huge difficulty on the battlefield. It can swoop in from faraway perches and petrify unsuspecting units with its "Beak" ability.
