And so on you, Ramza, my gaze alights. Now know regret, a traitor's recompense!
—Adrammelech

Adrammelech (FFT-ADRAMELECH), also known as Adramelk, is the fourth Lucavi demon that Ramza Beoulve must face in Final Fantasy Tactics. He is associated with the Capricorn auracite.

ProfileEdit

AppearanceEdit

Adrammelech is a demi human with a dark green goat-face and dark brown goat horns. He wears a light orange long sleeve tunic.

StoryEdit

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Adrammelech takes over Dycedarg Beoulve after he is injured during a fight with his brothers Zalbaag and Ramza. He kills Zalbaag and several nearby Order of the Northern Sky guards, and attacks Ramza. Ramza defeats him, and as he dies, Adrammelech expresses regret over assuming a mortal body and complains about Ultima not being present to help him.

Spoilers end here.

GameplayEdit

Adrammelech's job is Ghost of Fury (PS)/Wroth (WotL) in the game. He starts at level 46 with 70 Bravery and Faith, and has roughly 1515 HP and 415 MP. He is immune to all negative statuses except Silence, Blind, and Immobilize. Due to this, Silence-inducing attacks cripple Adrammelech's full power.

RendezvousEdit

When fought in the thirteenth Rendezvous battle: Nightmares, he is level 99 and carries the same abilities and status immunities as previously.

EtymologyEdit

Adramelech was a god called Baal Adramelech (Baal means "Lord" and melech means "King" in Hebrew) in Assyrian mythology. It is said that children were sacrificed to him, but Greek accounts saying that child sacrifice via burning them or placing them within a heated bronze statue of the god are not historically verifiable, as no archaeological proof of such a large, bronze statue exists.

Adramelech is considered a demon in Judeo-Christian tradition, being generally depicted with a human torso and head, and the rest of the body of a mule, a peacock, or some combination there of. He was described as "The enemy of God, greater in ambition, guile and mischief than Satan. A fiend more cursed — a deeper hypocrite".
