Added Cut (ついかぎり, Tsuika-giri^?) is a support ability in Final Fantasy VII that allows the wearer to physically attack the same target the linked Materia is used on immediately after its execution. Added Cut can be found in the northern parts of the Great Glacier and takes 200,000 Ability Points to master.

Added Cut can be paired with all Magic and Summon Materia, Steal, Sense, Throw, Morph, Deathblow, Manipulate, Mime and Master Command.

If the ability is an area-of-effect, a random target within the targeted group will be selected. When linked with normal Command Materia, Added Cut applies its effect to the ability that is highlighted on the Materia. The darkened ability will only get the effect if the character has another source for the ability; e.g. if a character has a level 2 Throw, which grants Coin, Added Cut only affects Coin, unless the character also equips a level 1 Throw Materia (which only has Throw).

When linked with Master Command Added Cut will apply its effect to all the commands in the Materia, (except Throw, since Master Command doesn't have Throw as a separate ability) plus the regular Attack and Item commands. This is useful for giving the character what is basically a Double Cut effect, only with a different attack animation, but healing and using items will make the character attack allies. Other good combinations are to link with Deathblow and Steal, combinations that are available as soon after acquiring the Materia.
