An Add-on is an accessory in the game Final Fantasy IX. Like accessories in other games, Add-ons have various effects, such as allowing the absorption of certain elements or raising certain stats. Add-ons are not purchasable in any shop, but found or crafted in Synthesis shops. Each character can only equip one Add-on at a time.

Jewels are another type of Add-on. They vary slightly from other Add-ons in the game as most of them don't have any effect on the user besides teaching them abilities, and they can only be used during battle to heal a single targets' HP.
