The Adamantoise is an enemy in Final Fantasy X found in either the Omega Ruins or inside Sin. He is a powerful creature that uses three different attacks: a Breath attack that is Fire-based and will damage the entire party, Earthquake that will also target the entire party and Delay their next turns, and a regular physical attack. He can be easily defeated using Armor Break or Piercing weapons.

Adamantoise is one of the few fiends in the game that will drop empty four slotted equipment. This equipment can be sold for massive amounts of gil or be customized to the player's liking.

[edit] Strategy

Using Ifrit against the Adamantoise will make it's Breath heal the aeon and considering Ifrit can heal itself with it's own fire magic it makes the fight pretty easy as long Ifrit can deal a lot of physical attack damage. Otherwise this strategy will not hold or will simply take too much time to be worthwhile.
