Fiend Tale Edit

In the Fiend Tale endings, a notable Aculeate was created from the spirit of a Kilika youth who wanted to make a name for himself as a musician. However, he died when his ship was sunk by Sin and lost his mind to the constant buzzing of his wings where it drove him to kill before saved by the Gullwings. Once able to hear his own heartbeat, Aculeate returned to Kilika and finds a youth much like himself. Knowing he could live his dream after what had done as fiend, Aculeate used his buzzing to teach the youth his song before he departed to the Farplane.

Battle Edit

Aculeate is a relatively easy enemy to take down. Watch out for its Sleep Needle, and hit it with Ice-elemental attacks.

Etymology Edit

Aculeate refers to a group of stinging insects, made up of wasps, bees, and ants.

Its Japanese name translates to Assassin Bee. The Assassins were a secret order of Nizari Ismailis, particularly those of Persia and Syria, that formed in the late 11th century. Mentions of Assassins were preserved within European sources where they are depicted as trained killers, responsible for the systematic elimination of opposing figures.
