Etymology

In the mathematical fields of differential geometry and tensor calculus, differential forms are an approach to multivariable calculus that is independent of coordinates. Differential forms provide a unified approach to defining integrands over curves, surfaces, volumes, and higher-dimensional manifolds. A differential 0-form ("zero-form") is defined to be a smooth function f on U.

A particle beam is a stream of charged or neutral particles, in many cases moving at near the speed of light.
